A one-to-one practitioner training for Ireland & UK

The One Specialism
Most Therapists
Haven't Added Yet.

And the one that is most needed, most in demand, and most financially rewarding.

Teen anxiety is at crisis levels across Ireland and the UK. CAMHS waiting lists are months long. Parents are desperate. And the vast majority of therapists and coaches have no specific methodology for getting meaningful, lasting results with teenagers.

Justin Toner has spent almost 20 years developing one. Now, for the first time, he is sharing it personally, one-to-one, with a small number of carefully selected practitioners.

Why practitioners are looking for something different

Why Most Teen Therapy
Doesn't Get the Results It Should.

This is not a criticism of conventional therapy. It is an observation that most practitioners working with teenagers already know from experience, and it explains why a different approach produces different results.

1

Teenagers don't want to talk about how they feel.

Talk-first approaches work well with adults who are motivated to explore their inner world. Most teenagers are not. They find weekly reflection sessions uncomfortable, slow, and disconnected from the immediate problem. They feel terrible and want it to stop. When the format doesn't suit the client, engagement drops and results don't follow.

2

Insight doesn't automatically produce change.

Understanding why you're anxious doesn't always make you less anxious. Many teenagers can articulate their anxiety perfectly and still feel paralysed by it. That's because anxiety lives in the nervous system, in the body, in automatic patterns, not primarily in the story the teenager tells about it. Working only at the level of the story leaves the pattern intact.

3

Slow results lose teenagers.

A teenager who doesn't feel meaningfully different after a few sessions stops engaging and often stops attending. The window of motivation that brings them to a session in the first place is narrow. If results don't arrive quickly enough to reinforce that motivation, the process stalls. Fast, felt results in the first session change what the teenager believes is possible.

What this approach does differently.

Most teen therapy works top-down, starting with thinking, hoping behaviour and feeling follow. This methodology works bottom-up. Emotional state is changed first, at the level it actually lives: in the nervous system, in the body, in the automatic patterns that fire before the teenager has a chance to think. Once the emotional charge is reduced or removed, confidence is installed in its place using techniques that work with how the brain actually forms new patterns.

The result is that teenagers often feel a meaningful shift within the first session. Not because something magical has happened, but because the approach targets the right level. Thinking about anxiety rarely changes it. Working directly with the patterns that produce it does.

While every teenager is different and results vary, many families report noticeable changes within the first one or two sessions.

"

The ETB (Education and Training Board) employed me to keep teenagers in school. Word spread from school to school. My private practice grew bigger than the institutional work. Not because I went looking for clients. Because the results created their own momentum. That is what this methodology does.

Almost 20 years of results

This Is Not Theory.
This Is a Track Record.

Every story below is true. They are the kinds of results practitioners who complete this training will be able to produce.

🏆 Performance Anxiety

World Irish Dancing Finals. Real Medals. Years of Referrals.

A group of talented teenage Irish dancers were exceptional in training but froze under competition pressure: Irish finals, European finals, World finals. They came home without the medals everyone knew they were capable of winning.

Their teacher knew it wasn't a dancing problem. She called the parents. The parents called Justin.

These teenagers went on to the World Irish Dancing Championships and came home with medals. That teacher referred to Justin for years afterward.
🏐 Confidence Under Pressure

A Young Gaelic Footballer Who Had Potential He Couldn't Show When It Mattered.

A school principal came to Justin about a young Gaelic footballer. Everyone who saw him train knew he had real ability, but in competition the belief simply wasn't there.

A few sessions later, the principal rang back. He was playing with strength, belief, and confidence.

The same principal referred a female student who was too shy to speak to others in school. After working with Justin, she was making new friends.
🎸 Bullying & Social Anxiety

Two Sessions. Then He Got Up and Played Guitar in Front of His Entire School.

A fifth-year student with deep shyness, a history of bullying, and no self-belief. After two sessions with Justin, his teacher reported something nobody expected.

He got up and played guitar in a band in front of all his school mates at their end of year night out. His teacher said he looked like a rock star.
🏫 ETB School Programme

The ETB (Education and Training Board) Employed Justin to Keep Teenagers in School. Word Spread.

The Education and Training Board hired Justin as a school therapist, specifically to work with students at risk of not completing school due to stress, panic attacks, and anxiety. The results spoke for themselves.

Word spread from school to school. Justin went on to work across multiple schools through referrals alone, before his private practice grew bigger than the institutional work entirely.
Justin Toner — Teen Anxiety Specialist, Letterkenny

Justin TonerTeenage Anxiety Specialist
& Trainer

Justin has worked exclusively with teenagers for almost 20 years, from his practice in Letterkenny, Co. Donegal, and online across Ireland. His career began when the ETB (Education and Training Board) employed him as a school therapist to reach students at risk of leaving school due to anxiety and panic attacks.

Word spread from school to school. My private practice grew bigger than the institutional work. Not through marketing, but through results. Teachers, principals, and parents referred to Justin because they had seen what happened when teenagers worked with him.

This methodology is the result of almost 20 years of clinical practice with teenagers, drawing on multiple established therapeutic modalities, curated and adapted specifically for how teenagers think, feel, and respond. It is shared exclusively with practitioners who complete the training.

The approach works because it targets anxiety where it actually lives: in the nervous system and in automatic patterns, rather than only in the story the teenager tells about it. Emotional state is changed first. Confidence is installed second. That sequence, and the specific techniques used at each stage, is what produces results that practitioners using conventional approaches find difficult to explain.

This is the first time Justin has taught this methodology to other practitioners. He works with a maximum of 3 per month, one-to-one, personally, with no group sessions and no shortcuts.

Two Reasons Practitioners Choose
To Add This Specialism.

❤️

The Therapeutic Reward

There is nothing quite like working with a teenager who came in unable to leave the house, and watching them walk out with their life back.

A parent's message telling you their son is playing football again. Their daughter is making new friends. Their child went back to school. That is the kind of outcome that makes a practitioner remember why they went into this work.

You are not helping someone manage a condition. You are genuinely contributing to the direction of a young person's life.

💰

The Financial Reward

Teen anxiety work commands strong fees because the demand is enormous and the supply of practitioners who can deliver fast results is tiny.

CAMHS waiting lists are at crisis point. Parents spend hours searching for someone who can actually help and find almost nothing. Practitioners who get results with teenagers are not competing for clients. They are chosen by clients who are desperate and willing to pay for expertise that works.

This is not a saturated market. It is a market with far more demand than supply, and that gap is growing every year.

What adding teen anxiety work to your practice looks like financially

Justin charges €125 per session and the figures below are based on that rate. You may choose to charge more or less depending on your market and experience. That is entirely your decision. What the table shows is what is possible at one realistic price point.

Based on €125 per session · Average 2 sessions per client · Additional income on top of existing practice

One new teen client per week is a realistic starting point, achievable with very little marketing effort once you have the methodology and the results to back it up. At that rate, you are looking at €12,000 in additional annual income from a specialism most therapists haven't added yet.

The return on a single training investment grows automatically. At just one new client per week, This methodology generates its own referrals. When a teenager gets results, their parent tells every parent they know. The income grows without you chasing it.

🔁

Results generate their own referrals.

Justin built his entire practice on word of mouth. The ETB came to him. The schools came to him. The private clients came to him. Because when a teenager gets results, their parent tells every parent they know.

📈

This specialism is growing, not peaking.

Teenage mental health was already in crisis before 2020. Post-pandemic demand has accelerated. Practitioners who build expertise now are positioning themselves for a decade of strong referral income.

Fast results mean fast referrals.

Most therapy takes months to show results. This methodology produces changes many families notice within the first one or two sessions. Fast results generate immediate word of mouth. A parent who sees their teenager transformed tells every other parent they know.

The investment

One Investment.
A New Revenue Stream.

At €125 per session with an average of two sessions per client, each teen client brings in €250. This training pays for itself in just four clients. If it brings you one new teen client per month, it has paid for itself within four months. Every client after that is pure return on a one-time investment.

Common questions

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need experience working with teenagers already?

No. The prerequisite is at least 12 months of practice experience working with clients, not necessarily teenagers. The methodology is designed to be implemented immediately by any experienced practitioner, and Day 4 covers specifically how to adapt it to your current practice context and start attracting teenage clients.

Why is it limited to 3 practitioners per month?

Because this is a genuinely personal training built entirely around your practice, your clients, and your existing skill set. Justin also runs his own teen anxiety practice alongside this work. Three is the honest maximum that allows him to give every practitioner his full attention. It is not a manufactured scarcity device. It is a real capacity limit.

What does the 60-day follow-up support actually mean?

Direct access to Justin by email or phone for 60 days after your final session. If you have a question about a specific client, a technique that isn't landing the way you expected, or an unusual presentation you're not sure how to approach, you contact Justin directly. Not a support ticket. Not a community forum. Justin personally.

What happens if my application isn't accepted?

Justin will tell you directly and honestly. Where relevant, will tell you what might make you a stronger candidate for a future intake. There is no awkwardness and no vague responses. He has enormous respect for practitioners who put themselves forward. If the timing is not right or the fit is not there, he will say so clearly.

Is there a payment plan available?

Yes. If the full investment upfront is a barrier, Justin is happy to discuss an arrangement during your conversation. The priority is getting the right practitioners into the programme, not creating unnecessary financial obstacles for the people who are genuinely the right fit.

What is the conversation with Justin before the intensive?

Once accepted and enrolled, Justin speaks with you personally before your intensive begins. It is a genuine conversation, not a formality. He wants to understand your practice, your current client presentations, your existing skills, and what you most want to get from the training. Everything in your intensive week is then tailored specifically to you based on that conversation. Most practitioners describe it as one of the most useful conversations they've had about their practice in years.

To Your Practice?
